Joanna Hartle
Joanna Hartle is an Essex-based artist and producer. Her work as a lighting designer in her early career has been seen globally by over 1.5 million people. She creates work that looks to liminal spaces and the unseen often unspoken emotions attached to people and place.
She makes work that spans film (still and moving image), writing, sculpture, sound, and installation; at present her work explores the emotions of lived experience with authenticity, capturing moments. She is a proud member of ToMA (The Other MA - an artist-run alternative art school) and at present is reaffirming her creative practice and the putting herself in the frame. The thread of her work has subconsciously focused on connection and response up until now.
