Bas-Arts-Index
Founded in 2018, Bas-Arts-Index is Basildon’s first
interdisciplinary, artist-led directory/network. Our mission is to provide an
online space for Basildons creative individuals, groups and organisations,
born, living, working in or making work about the Basildon Borough. We hope to
connect local creatives which in turn will generate activity, collaboration and
to help support a cohesive local arts ecology. If you are interested in
becoming a member you can join here.
The Index currently:
- Hosts an extensive website, with member
profiles, community pages and more

Sends out monthly newsletters to its membership,
which includes local creative news, activity and opportunities. These
newsletters can be read here.
- Runs a variety of intermitant projects which give members a chance to engage in various activity and get to know each other on a social level. You find more about current projects here.
