Earlier this year the Basildon Public Art Forum was held by Care Contractors and Bas Arts Index with UKSPF funding to create a feasibility report about a potential future official Basildon Public Art Stewardship group. This session will include feedback on the Feasibility study conducted in 2024/2025 on stewardship of Basildon's public art.
If you are a fan of Basildon's public art and wish to be a part of future preservations efforts, or if you'd like to get more involved in local cultural activities, this event is for you.
The reason we're doing this is that Basildon has a vast array of public art that's hidden in plain sight, or simply not known about enough. We need a group of people willing to help us to organise some future care and promotional events. Our art is part of what makes Basildon unique, and it deserves to be loved, appreciated and protected.
