Thank you so much to everyone who joined our first collaborative trip organised with Creative Basildon to Harlow.
On arrival we had a wonderful introductory talk by Catherine Mummery, Director of the Gibberd Gallery, before exploring the New Town New Art exhibition. Which for many of us was the first time seeing some of the Basildon Arts Trust collection in person, which included pieces by Dean Smith, Ronald Maddox, Gerd Winner, Robyn Denny , Barbara Hepworth and many more.
After lunch we undertook a self directed tour of the family group sculpture trail in the town which included 18 public sculptures.
