Bas-Arts-Index stands in solidarity with black communities and does not tolerate racism. As an art project based in and around Basildon, we acknowledge that the Index is predominantly utilised by white people. We aim to recognise this, and to work harder at supporting a more diverse group of creatives. We aim to listen and learn to help educate ourselves, starting with our Bas-Film-Club, which will now focus on BAME Filmmakers and Creatives. The Film club is open to everyone, and anyone can suggest a film to watch.
Below we have added links to resources which have been helpful for us, but if we have missed anything, please do let us know, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
